Located in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, Hampta Pass is a live canvas painted in the distinctive settings of Himachal Pradesh.

 

The Hampta pass trek height is 14,100 ft. covering a Hampta pass distance of 35 km. During the hampta pass trek length, you will journey through small forests. Witness different colors of blooming flowers as you ascend on the steep, vertical, and rocky inclines. The stark contrasting sweeps of topography varying from lush green mammoths to crisp contrasting expanses of deserted wilderness hold you in awe. The sheer drama of this cross over trek is simply intriguing.

  • Day 1 – Manali to Jobra. Jobra to Chika
  • Day 2 – Chika to Balu ka gera.
  • Day 3 – Balu ka Gera to Sheaogoru via Hampta Pass
  • Day 4 – Sheagoru to Chhatru.
  • Day 5 – Chhatru to Manali

DAY 1 - Manali to Chika
  • Arrival at Manali. Meet your team, transfer to Jobra.
  • After a quick brief by our guide, the trek begins, the trail is through the forest and on a rocky path.
  • Expect to reach the campsite by late evening.
  • Meals served- L, D

DAY 2 - Chika to Balu ka Ghera
  • After breakfast, start your trek to Balu Ka Ghera.
  • The trek is around 7 km long and takes around 4 hours to cover.
  • The trail is mostly on rocks and meadows.
  • Meals served- B, L,D

DAY 3 - Balu ka Ghera to Sheagoru
  • Today, you cross over the mighty Hampta Pass and enter Lahaul Valley.
  • The trek to the pass from the campsite is steep and needs caution at some places.
  • Descending from Pass to Shaegoru is easy.
  • The trek will take around 8-9 hours today. 
  • Meals served- B, L,D

DAY 4 - Sheagoru to Chhatru
  • An easy day today as the trek from Sheagoru to Chhatru is not that difficult. Walk on moraines with some technical sections.
  • The trek will take around 5 hours today.
  • Meals served- B, L, D
**There is also an option to chose to visit Chandertal Lake and stay at Batal. Please enquire if you would like to add this to your itinerary

DAY 5 - Chhatru to Manali
  • After breakfast, drive from Chhatru to Manali via Rohtang Pass.
  • The drive is really beautiful and it’s the perfect way to end your amazing trip.
  • Reach Manali by late evening.
  • Trip ends
